We were lucky enough to be invited to join a snowshoeing expedition to Lake Blanche with our friend Brent Allen. He just hiked Kilimanjaro a few years ago, so we knew we were going to have to try our best to keep up with the 1/2 man, 1/2 mountain goat.

We made it! We hiked a bit further around the bend to enjoy a much deserved picnic and beautiful view of Sundial Peak (the peak behind us in the photo). Lake Blanche is just over the mound directly behind us... completely covered in snow. Oh well. Maybe we'll get to see it in the summer.
